something worth knowing.

The knife carry laws here in Virginia are so lax that it’s astonishing there aren’t more stabbings, or muggings involving knives.  Everyone seems so caught up in guns these days!  To the point that I read not too long ago that Virginia has the most concealed carry licenses awarded to it’s citizens.  Which is insane if I spend any amount of time thinking about the gun culture of Texas. 

I always carry a knife.  Unless it conflicts with the statute, or common sense, I’ll have at least one knife on me.  I’ve yet to see a need to use one in self-defense, they’re tools to me.  As they should be viewed everywhere, I think. 

Lately, I’ve gotten in my head that I might move to Chicago after the new year.  I’ve got a couple of friends there, and a couple of people I’m seriously trying to seduce into coming with me.  I think it would be easier to find steady work there in my only two valued skillsets, and I could take some classes at Second City!  (Which has always been one of my weird, little, secret dreams, because I think I’m friggin’ hilarious)

But I digress…  Anybody out there who’s reading this know the knife carry laws in Illinois?
